Why is the memorial scholarship named Love Soong?
The person our memorial scholarship is honoring did not wish for her name to be used. She was a kind person who did not strive for public acknowledgement of her good deeds. Our family name is 宋 which is pronounced "song." Love Soong if written in Chinese where the surname comes first is also a Chinese pun that translates to "give love."
Why support gynecological cancer research?
The person our memorial scholarship is honoring passed on October 31st, 2017 from stage 4 primary peritoneal cancer (PPC). She partook in two clinical trials in hopes to advance the research and search for a cure for PPC.
Can I report my donation to the IRS?
Yes, we have officially receive our 501(c)(3) status from the federal government effective as of November 7, 2017. Please email us if you need an additional receipt when filing your taxes.
