Why is the foundation named Love Soong?
The person our foundation is honoring did not wish for her name to be used. She was a kind person who did not strive for public acknowledgement of her good deeds. Our family name is 宋 which is pronounced “song.” Love Soong if written in Chinese where the surname comes first is also a Chinese pun that translates to “give love.”
Why support gynecological cancer research?
The person our memorial scholarship is honoring passed on October 31st, 2017 from stage 4 primary peritoneal cancer (PPC). She partook in two clinical trials in hopes to advance the research and search for a cure for PPC.
